We did it, we Celebrated 300 Years in Stillorgan

St Brigid's Church, Stillorgan, Co Dublin celebrated a very special birthday. The current building is 300 years old, and to mark this special occasion we had a look back at the history of Stillorgan.

Is the church the oldest building left in Stillorgan? The answer we discovered was Yes!

Were your ancestors from Stillorgan?  We found quite a few!

The population of Stillorgan today is about 18000 but 300 years ago.... i
t was only 26!!

So on Saturday 2nd 2013, we invited you to visit what we though was the oldest building.  We had:-

   Guided tours of St Brigid's Church & Graveyard from 10.00am 
   A Photographic exhibition in St Brigid's parish hall of the paintings of Sir William Orpen.
   Photographs and Maps of Stillorgan were on display
   We discussed how Stillorgan has changed over the years ...
