At his residence, Blackrock, near Cork, aged 33, the Hon. Cecil Lawless, M.P. for Clonmel. Yesterday fortnight Mr. Lawless was summoned to the deathbed of his father, whose funeral he attended on the following Tuesday, remaining at Lyons that night. On Wednesday he returned by train to Cork, apparently well; but a few hours after his arrival at his home he was seized with violent inflammation of the brain, which terminated fatally on the third day. His brother, Lord Cloncurry, was with him a few hours after the commencement of his illness, and remained beside him until its close. LM 11/11/1853
